Join the Atlanta Horror Society for a FREE night of horror, filmmaking, networking, and all things creepy! Our August meetup is bringing together actors, filmmakers, crew, film teams, horror fans, and creatives for one killer night at Boggs Social & Supply.

This month, we’re celebrating our Local Horror Filmmaker of the Month, Hagen Mattingly, director of Forces From Beyond. Hagen will be joining us to share his work, talk about the filmmaking process, and give our community a chance to experience his film and hear the story behind it.

We’re proud to support Atlanta’s independent horror filmmakers. While the event is FREE, optional donations are now being accepted online and at the door, with 100% of donations going directly to our featured filmmaker to help fund their next project. Every dollar helps keep independent horror alive and growing right here in Atlanta.

But that’s not all…

This month’s meetup also features our Sinema Challenge Adult Networking Event, a chance for actors, directors, writers, producers, crew members, and film teams to meet each other, make connections, find collaborators, and talk about what they’re working on. Whether you’re looking for your next project, building your filmmaking team, or simply want to meet more people in Atlanta’s horror community, come hang out and make some connections.

We’ll also be diving into the twisted world of Tim Burton for our monthly Film Commentary Feature. We’ll watch Sleepy Hollow and geek out over Burton’s unmistakable visual style, storytelling, production design, practical effects, creatures, characters, and all the strange little details that make his films so memorable. Expect plenty of commentary, discussion, trivia, and opinions from the room.

And because this is an Atlanta Horror Society meetup, you can expect more than just a screening.

We’ll have live film commentary, audience Q&A, horror trivia and games with prizes, behind-the-scenes discussions, filmmaker conversations, networking, music, drinks, and plenty of opportunities to geek out with fellow horror fans.
